We're back from convention and had a fabulous time (as usual)! One of my favorite things to look at during convention is the 4 vignettes they create while we are there. They create these themed rooms from 4 "wall" in the shape of a plus sign (+), and have different themes in each room.

I really enjoy Halloween, and while I know this holiday isn't for everyone, but I think you can get some great decorating ideas from this room (remember that you can click on the pictures for a larger view):

On the left wall they used the Definitely Decorative Décor Stencils, specifically the Brocade Flourish. On the lamp shade –on the right - they used the Kind Thoughts Brocade stencil. And they used the Definitely Decorative Toil & Trouble vinyl wall art (which comes in 4 different colors and 2 sizes!).

It was fun watching them create the cupcakes with their cute little skirts and the coordinating tree and treat holders:

Just in case you missed it, there is a new video on my Stampin' Up! website creating a shower curtain and candle bowl using our Décor Elements vinyl – they are great! I have been trying to figure out what I wanted to do in our downstairs bathroom, and this may be just the thing.

Silhouettes frame

Stamps

Simple Serif Alphabet & Numbers stamp set

Paper

Kraft card stock
Old Olive Prints Designer Series paper

Ink

Basic Black Classic Stampin' Pad

Accessories

Kraft taffeta ribbon
Black hemp twine
Black brads
Silhouettes Décor Elements
Old Olive Flower Fusion
On Board Timeless Type
Pretties Kit
Stampin' Dimensionals
1/16" Hole punch
Sanding block
8-1/2" x 11" frame

Instructions

Apply Silhouettes Décor Elements to frame glass, then lay glass in frame.
Lay Old Olive Prints Designer Series paper into frame behind glass.
Tie Kraft taffeta ribbon around edge of frame, and close back of frame.
Lay On Board Timeless Type letters H, O, M, and E face down on Kraft card stock, trace outline, and cut out. Adhere paper to letters, and sand edges using sanding block.
Stamp "Est. 08" in Basic Black ink on Kraft card stock. Cut out and punch hole in end using 1/16" Circle punch. Thread Black hemp twine through hole and tie to On Board letter H.
Adhere medium white halfback pearl from Pretties Kit to center of Flower Fusion flower. Adhere flower to On Board letter O.
Punch two holes in On Board letter E using 1/16" Circle punch. Insert Black brads.
Adhere letters to glass using Stampin' Dimensionals.
